What is the NBA career simulator?
A browser game that plays one basketball life end to end. You land a college program, hear your name at the draft, and then move through age-based league chapters — the extension, the move, the ring chase, the last contract — with per-game numbers posting to a board the whole way.
How long does an NBA career actually last?
We measured it: 4.5 seasons for a completed NBA career across our whole archive — the same figure the players’ association publishes. Guard, forward or center — does the position matter?
Yes. Guards build the career around creation, forwards around two-way matchup work, and centers around paint control. All three track points, but the other two columns change with the position: assists and rebounds for guards and forwards, rebounds and blocks for centers. Their position bench follows the same split, including 14.5 assists for guards and 5.6 blocks for centers.
How does the draft work here?
Your college years set your stock, and the draft returns an actual two-round slot. That receipt also determines the city and competitive setting around your first professional season; it does not secretly add points to your stat line.
Are there codes for the NBA career simulator?
None — there is nothing to unlock and nothing to redeem, which is a fair thing to check when most "simulator" games run on codes. The only lever is the decision at each chapter: the extension, the move, the ring chase, the last contract.
Can I actually break 50 points a game?
Almost nobody does, which is why the record row sits at the top of the board rather than out of sight. It carries the real single-season marks and tallies any season of yours that actually cleared one. Most careers finish on zero. A year past 50.4 is the rarest thing this game makes.
Do trades and offers actually change anything?
Yes. Every checkpoint brings a decision — take the money, chase the ring, or stay where you are — and each one moves where you play, what you earn and which honors stay reachable. The MVP and the title are downstream of those calls, not sprinkled on afterwards.
Is the NBA career simulator free?
Free, with no account and no paywall at the end — the Hall verdict and the record row are the whole point, so putting them behind a sign-up would defeat it. Your run survives a reload because the link in the address bar is the save file.
Can I play the NBA career simulator online, or is there a download?

Is this an AI basketball career simulator?
No — nothing here is generated on the fly. Every chapter is drawn from real NBA seasons back to 1947 and scored against the real record book, so two players who make the same calls at the same age see the same league, not an invented one.
How is the final career grade decided?
The result rewards peak rating, Hall status, MVP seasons, titles, repeated all-star years, record-breaking seasons, and the leadership receipt after playing. Two careers with the same statistical peak can therefore finish on different rungs.
What happens when I retire?
You choose: one more year, or walk away clean. Then a front-office decision closes the card. Taking the role can add a leadership receipt, but it never adds fictional playing salary or rewrites the seasons you already posted.
Is this the same as a basketball career game?
Same thing, different name. People search for a career simulator, a career simulation, a career game, a career mode — this is the browser version of all four, with the record book doing the scoring instead of a rating out of 99.
Is this the NBA all-time draft simulator?
That is the other board, and it asks a different question: there you spin an era, take one player and fill a real roster around them, then see how far the season goes. This one follows a single career from the draft through the last contract. Both read the same archive that stretches to 1947, so the names you can reach here are the names you can draft there.
How does a saved NBA run survive a reload?
A deterministic script in the URL holds the starting seed and every decision made so far. Opening it again rebuilds the same career state, allowing a paused run or completed card to return without depending on a login.
Can two people play the same career?
Send the challenge and your friend gets a fresh basketball career of their own with your finished card pinned to it. They cannot replay your life — they have to beat it with theirs.
Is there an app to download?
No, and there does not need to be. This runs in a browser tab on any phone or laptop, free, with nothing installed and no account. The link in your address bar is the save — reload it and your career is still there.
