What is the golf career simulator?

How long does a professional golf career actually last?
Longer than any team sport here — players stay competitive into their forties, and that is exactly why we refuse to print one number for it: measured across our archive, the average moves by half a season depending on where a career is judged to have ended. What is Q-school?
The way in. Golf has no draft, so nobody picks you and no franchise signs you. Every completed run earns a tour card; the opening receipt establishes the tour base and the form you carry into the first professional seasons.
How is a season scored?
Wins, top tens and majors. The bench is the real single-season mark: 18 wins, 30 top tens and three professional majors in one year. Clearing any of those once is a career highlight. Clearing them the way the record holder did is essentially not going to happen to you.
Why does this career run so much longer?
Because golf careers do. Amateur years run 18–21, Q-school is 22, and the professional windows continue without a gap from 23 through 49. The senior-tour decision is at 50 and team-event captaincy follows at 53.
Why is Golfer the only position?
There is only one playing position on this path: Golfer. The game puts its branching into development, schedule priorities, majors and longevity instead of inventing a second role. What varies is which part of the tour career you build and which weeks you peak.
When can I win a major?
Majors are live throughout the professional chapters, not reserved for one scripted age band. They are discrete event wins, so most seasons post zero, an exceptional year may post one, and only a tiny peak can reach two before the record-book chase comes into play.
What is the captaincy at the end?
The chapter after the playing is done. You are not competing any more — you are picking a side and leading it — so it cannot add a title to your own record. It can still lift how the career reads at the finish, and it never lowers it.
Is this a golf career game?
